Types and Applications of Linear Motors

At present, linear Motor technology is widely used in various fields of duty. It can be used in many applications such as: B. in solar electronic consumer products, commercial satellites, health and medical equipment, lawn and garden lawns, agricultural equipment, cooking equipment, etc. In principle, linear Motors produce motion in a straight line (linear). This is different from the circular motion produced by an ordinary electric motor. For example, the ejection system in a DVD player must use a linear Motor.

There are different types of linear Motors that are usually offered by manufacturers. Let's take a look at a few different sets of drives:

  • Ball screw Motor: This Moto combines a ball screw with a DC motor reduction gear. This linear Motors stem is ready to install and can be used for a wide range of industrial, medical and agricultural applications.
  • Acme Screw Motor: Unlike round screw Motors, these Motors combine an acme screw with a DC toothed motor. They are also ready to install and highly preferred where robust and reliable operation is expected. These linear Motors are also useful for applications including but not limited to solar tracking, ventilation, agriculture, medical, ATV, lawn and garden, and more.
  • Worm drives: They are also equipped with trapezoidal screws. You will usually find it used in elevators, medical and dental equipment, mobility and fitness products, etc. They can be selected with or without self-monitoring and a UL approved power supply system.
  • VSJ Series: These are very useful Motors equipped with trapezoidal screws in AC or DC versions. For example, they can be found in treadmills, floor cleaning machines, household appliances, and some other industrial machines.
  • Series VI: The Motors can be selected in trapezoidal or recirculated spherical versions. They offer great flexibility, making them suitable for a wide range of applications related to medical equipment, lawn and garden equipment, agriculture, and off-road vehicles. Depending on the need, they can be purchased in AC or DC versions.
  • VMD Series: These Motors are very compact and therefore very useful in certain cooking appliances. In short, they are ideal for light applications. They are also used in office and automotive applications.

In addition to the above types of linear Motors, it's possible the industry and OEMs need something special. In this case, customization is the best option. You can send new designs or ideas to the manufacturer of your choice, or suggest changes to an existing model. Adjusting the linear Motor goes a long way in increasing your overall operational efficiency.
